Our hearts are heavy, our minds are full, and it’s becoming too hard to keep quiet. It is our practice to keep politics out of business, but this is not about politics, it’s about humanity and dignity.
I can NOT speak for all 17 artists here at Expressions Body Art & Design, but I do know that we are a diverse group of very like minded individuals that, collectively, do share these basic truths:
- We love each other;
- We love our families;
- We love our communities;
- We love our neighbors;
- We love our ability and FREEDOMS to EXPRESS ourselves;
- We love the joy we bring others;
- We love the joy that others bring us;
- and we LOVE YOU ALL!
We have always been and will always remain to be a collective body of artists that find our joy by helping others EXPRESS theirs. We are INCLUSIVE, welcoming, GRATEFUL, and always seeking ways to strengthen our communities with the services and creativity we offer. We live in service to others and we live in gratitude for the opportunities to do so. If you see one of us at an event, even if you don’t want one of our services, come by and say hi. Let’s connect.
By strengthening our communities, we can help architect our future and the future of those to follow. MANY of us are active in our communities on our own, giving of our time and talents to benefit the organizations, groups, causes and charities we support. It starts there, but doesn’t end there, that support we give helps our communities now and later. The path we forge comes with love, compassion and the strong commitment to basic humanity.
WE CHOOSE to be an inclusive and welcoming business. This has been from DAY ONE and I am simply sending a reminder of our choices as individuals and a collective group…humanity and dignity will always be top priority for us.
